Hi,

Hi,
I use my BB for both business and personal e-mail. I would love to have two different signatures...one for business e-mail and one for personal. Is this possible? If so...how can it be done? Thanks.
Are they both the same email address?
If they are different emails then just log into the BIS and setup the signature for each email.... Sorry if this is something you already know :)
If its one address I am not sure of a way to do it........
yup! i do it!
you can go through the bis website (in your case, since you have verizon it's this website: bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw )
log in with the account you used to set up your email on your bb, select "edit", then type in what you'd like to show up at the bottom of your emails under "signature".
for your personal email, use your personal signature and for your business email, use your business signature. (this only works if you have two email addresses.)
OR
go through email set up on your BB, log on with the same account, select an email address, click "edit" and under "signature" type in what you'd like.
`One way you can do it is options / auto text and add your two signatures under the replace / with feature. I also had this problem with wanting two different signatures so what I did was set that if I typed sig1 it would replace with one signature and sig2 would replace with the second. Good Luck
Thank you for the quick response. Something I already know..not very likely ;) I would want to do both so it's good to know that I can do this on seperate e-mails. I also would like to be able to have two signatures on one e-mail account because I get some business e-mail at my personal address because of file space constraints.
Thanks....on my way to set up another signature on my other e-mail account.
Pretty neat idea medic - makes perfect sense and would work perfectly with one email :)
Appreciate the tip..
EDIT: Classc Medic's way would work just fine if you have ever messed around in auto text you will see what he means, quite simple.
You can also try this: options > autotext > press menu > select
New.
Under Replace with type Sig1
Under With Type what you want the signature to say. Do the same
for the other but call it Sig2.
Now when ever you type either of those it will append the
appropriate signature for you.
Thank you medic and amazinglyraceless....this is great...I really need two signatures in one of my e-mail accounts alone. Had no idea that I could even have two different ones...one for each account.
Thank you also redsoxrocker....I appreciate it.
You guys are great...as per usual.
Just tried to do this on the 8330...when I press autotext...I do not get a menu option that asks me to "Replace with." Does this feature not work on the 8330?
One more question on this. What happens if I do not state sig1 or sig2? Will it just give the default signature that I see now?
I think the best way to do this would be to delete them off the BIS and just go with the auto text way (sig1, sig2)...... I could be wrong but it sounds easier to me that way. If not the BIS will still send one :)
Thanks. Also...I edited my post above after you responded...I don't see the "Replace with" option. I'm wondering if this will work with the 8330?
Agreed... autotext is MUCH easier. After you assign it, you just type it in the abbreviation and hit "space."
When you enter auto text hit menu button NEW then you will see it..... You did that right? :)
You will need to follow redsoxrocker's instructions to blank the signature
on the BIS site or they will both show. Your autotext and the default signature.
LOL..umnn...NO!!! I have to thank you again...ay,yay,yay...LOL I think I've got it now.
Okay...I will do that. Thank you.
