- Hi - well, I recently sold a Curve that I couldn't use because it was an Alltel phone and Verizon said they couldn't put it on their network. I had bought it off someone else who'd been using it on Alltel (I think), but the person I sold it to is now telling me that it is still activated & so she can't activate it for herself until it's deactivated from the previous account..
I thought that maybe they'd somehow activated it for me through Verizon because I remember after they said they'd tried and failed it briefly had a signal with a roam triangle, but I called Verizon and they said it was never activated on my account.
So the only thing I can think of is that the lady who owned it originally never deactivated it, but when I tried to activate it Verizon never said anything about it already being activated! They did however say there may have been something wrong with the ESN (didn't say it was bad or blacklisted, but something..)

- Unless Alltel is willing to transfer the ESN to the new owner's account, either she or you are SOL.
If I were you, if Alltel won't activate the ESN on your buyer's account, I would give her a full refund, including shipping costs. She could, after all initiate a PayPal dispute which would freeze the funds in your account till the dispute is resolved.04-11-09 04:18 PMLike 0
