I was wondering if anyone has successfully tethered their iPad with the blackberry 9900. I know it's possible to tether it with the iPhone but I was hoping to use my bold with it instead.

    Thanks

    LOL!!!

Apparently yes... I've used both an HTC and a Samsung for thethering with no problems. That's an un-jailbroken ipad2 btw. You'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the jailbreak.

Tethering and a wifi hotspot are two different things, don't get them confused...

An iPad can basically tether to any device as long as it has wifi hotspot capabilities. No jailbreaking needed. Unfortunately it will be a cold day in h3ll when we see any blackberry have wifi hotspot capabilities.
More like a cold day in Canada ... OS 7.1 is supposed to have wifi hot spot and should be out in the coming weeks ...

Damn alright thanks a lot guys I really wanted to be able to stay with my blackberry but I guess I"ll have to switch to using iMessage until the 9900 gets wifi hotspot capabilities...

Yep. You can have a lot more happening with a hotspot.

Both very true statements, i was just clarifying because it seemed that a couple users above were mixing or confusing the two...

And it would be the coldest day in h3ll when Apple allows the users to make up their own minds and give them the OPTION of bluetooth tethering.
