Please stop Crackberry Kevin!!!
Otherwise I end up with no money at all in my bank account! I was looking into BlackBerry devices and watched your review on the 9780. Guess what. 5 days later I put an order in for exactly that device. Now I stumbled across your review about the 9900 and the 'I want one' feeling is stronger than it was before your review. Thanks a million for that!!
Not only that. I made the mistake and watched your Playbook review and I now want one so I can bridge my Bold with the Playbook. Why can't you stop reviewing BlackBerrys and leave us all alone?! That way I wouldn't need to justify the purchases and life would be much easier..... But no you need to review all the cool things making me to buy them! That's so not fair Kevin!
Please save me and stop your reviews, otherwise I'd need to start singing or see how to fix the need for the latest gadget. And yes your reviews rock and keep watching them.Thanked by:Kevin Michaluk (09-30-2011)

I blame him also! I was happy and innocent until i saw Kevin's review of the Playbook. I was then hooked and had to go out and get one. And its fantastic.... as ever Kevin was correct. A great device which works perfectly and in harmony with my Blackberry working practices.
Now he has done it againwith the Bold 9900 ..... so my faithfull, if a little sluggish Torch is to go and be replaced early with the new bold 9900.
It's all Kevins fault
and i love it. He's doing a great job...... just don't tell him

The site CALLED CrackBerry made "addict" of most...SOME where already addicted to BlackBerry BUT some (like myself in '08) were drawn in by certain things (i.e. Keyboard push emails etc.)...ya know what they say about the "pusher man"...KIDDING...thank you Kevin, Adam, Blaze and ALL those fellow "crackheads"!!!...BUT REALLY...how's to blame...CrackBerry...BlackBerry...OR me (us)...HAHA!!!!!!!!

I must not be as big a BB fan as i used to be. I have since went to the darkside and couldn't be happier, but maybe once I see Kevin reviewing a QNX phone device may I become excited about this brand.

I watched the same reviews and want an iPhone really bad.

You and me both. I was "Meh" about the OS7 lineup. I think a lot of people feel the same way. RIM has shot themsevles in the foot dragging their feet on releasing quality handsets.
I've played with a couple of iPhones and I am impressed. We'll see what happens next year when my contract with Verizon is up.God save us all. Go Sharks.
Yes, I am a woman and I like hockey. Deal with it. - 09-29-2011, 12:46 PM #8
CrackBerry has helped keep me interested in BlackBerry over the past few years. This is where I come to learn about new devices and accessories. This is where I find out about applications I might never have learned about and the reviews of them are actually quite informative. This is the site that I come to answer questions that others have, answers I have learned here on this site or from years of using Blackberry, or to ask my own questions.
To the OP, funny post and yeah, most of us here can "blame" CrackBerry Kevin for fueling our addiction. It is amazing how this site grew and has remained a great place online whereas so many others, after becoming so large, have turned to trash. I keep coming back and will continue to do so.
Thanks! - 09-29-2011, 01:13 PM #9
I like Kevin. He's awesome. I love this site and I am on here all the time.
Sometimes though, I feel like he isn't truly expressing his opinion. I know he loves BB but I want to know if he really feels like they will make it.
I have listened to his podcasts and I don't get a clear picture of what is going on with RIM. Are they or are they not going to succeed. What do these Q2 results mean? What is his opinion on what is going on?
I PMed him the other day and I know his inbox is full but I don't really know how to contact him any other way. I also didn't want to start a thread about it because I didn't want to be flamed and I didn't want it locked or deleted. - 09-29-2011, 06:54 PM #10
Watch his review of the Touchpad on Pre Central, he doesn't help the Playbook any. Even called it a rip off. Gotta be careful watching reviews. Some reviewers are telling you what you want to hear based on the audience they are reviewing for.

For the last time, "CrackBerry Kevin" is not REAL! He is a figment of your imagination! You have a serious addiction problem, and you must seek help. Your whole family and your friends are worried about you and your insatiable need to spend money because of "Kevin".
Blatant placeholder signature. - 09-30-2011, 01:17 AM #14
That's bollocks! I don't even need to defend the statement given that everyone knows how Kevin is but what he said about the TouchPad / PlayBook is true.
However you want to swing it there is no denying the similarities there. It wasn't a case of catering to any crowd and to imply that as a fact is lame. - 09-30-2011, 06:19 AM #15
It's not Kevin so much as the line up of awesome devices! Kevin and the reviewers try to highlight the best specs of each device. However, they are honest and let us know when the devices have shortfalls (ex-Kevin made it clear that the 99XX camera was something to be desired).

I never said that what he said wasn't true, I'm talking about the fact that for months he did nothing but prop up the Playbook, its 7" screen, QNX, UI, everthing on THIS site, on THAT site he called the UI a ripoff and knocked the screen size. So yes he does cater to the audience before him. Not a big deal, a lot of people do it, just can't take most reviewers seriously. You should post links with all his Playbook hype (and there's a lot) along with the link to the Touchpad review I mention. Then tell me he doesn't cater to the crowd before him

Listen, any leader of a "nation" has to be a little political every now amd then. Of course he has to cater to the audience. At least he isnt saying "read my lips no new taxes...."

You know, I think that with so many members and the (unrivaled)success that Kevin has brought with this site, we simply can't complain as I can't think of anyone that could do a better job.
Therefore, Kevin ftw.Blackberry Torch 9860 w/ OS 7.0.0.540

Because of Kevin and Crackberry I will not be able to wait for the QNX which means if the QNX device shows up before my "Yet to be signed AT&T/9900 2yr contract" is up then I will be forced to pay fullboat for any phone for the first time in my life!

Oh,I just received an email from Blackberry informing me to update immediately to version 2.0 for the Facebook.... and I simply replied that they got it WRONG, that it was the version 2.0 for the PLAYBOOK that we are asking and waiting for!!!

my addiction did start here. Its nice when a nerd like me can find other enthusiasts being all cracked out and excited about the new products like the PB and the 99xx.
