Hope someone can help me I have a bb 9720 that im currently using but have backups on my old 9300 on blackberry protect that I now urgently need how can I get these bacups on a 8520 without it messing up my current setting and day to day use of my 9720. I don't want the backup that im doing delete the usage on my 9720 that im currently using so basically I need to get the backup on the 8520 without it stopping me receiving ansd sending messages on my 9720 I know normally when you do restore from blackberry protect the phone that you are doing the restore on will be the main handset on bb protect but I don't want that to happen I know it is confusing but urgently need help with this . or is there any other way of getting the bacups that were done on the 9300 to my pc .

BB Protect just has your contacts, correct? You want to delete the contacts you have on the 9720 and add the backup from the 9300?

You can select to restore Contacts only on your device. There are selections in the Restore mode you can check to restore only that data. I would do a device swap temporarily, sign out on your 9720, sign in with the 8520, restore the contacts, then swap back to your Bold.
