I still rely on the playbook for casual browsing and email. Of late I have been getting unsupported media file errors regardless of which browser native/origami/fast browser. I believe this has something to do with either cascades or Webview.

Will someone at BBY please help out your long suffering Playbook customers and post a fix? I didn't think so.

I wouldn't count on any fix for any playbook problem. BB pretty much wants to forget that it was ever created.

What Blackberry remembers and what it's customers remember may not be the same.

Really, that's your suggestion? Put down those matches.

    What's the media/file format?

If it's something newer, and if it needs core OS functionality, you're probably out of luck. If it's app related, contact the dev, if he/she/they are still looking after these apps...

    Good luck :-D

I still like and use my PlayBook...

OP, are you downloading media files and trying to play them in the browser? Or streaming media?

If you're downloading media files I recommend Kalemsoft Media Player from BlackBerry World for playing them, it plays just about everything. It's a paid app but worth it, it does more than just play videos on your phone, like DLNA streaming from local media servers on your WiFi network too.

Not app related, just streaming media on a web page like CNN or such.

Ok i just bought the app but no time to try it out yet.

My playbook seems to have recent problems playing videos too, but they were WORKING FINE and stopped working the same night. Almost like some popup thing is force-loading itself to stop video function.

I was playing with the tablet tv app, of which there is two and one of them works but its not good for everything.

Playbook video functionality os not gone, but something big seems to be messing it up. Will post more after i have more info on what works for me.

I am also going to try that off liberty site later, looks interesting.
