I am a very disappointed owner of 3 Playbooks. They have served me well till now, but the lack of app support and poor interoperability with my BB10 devices is extremely frustrating.

Seriously, can someone please tell me why I should get another BlackBerry device, Z10 or Q10, with sh_it like this? I used to be for BlackBerry, now I'm on the fence...

What is the full context of the quote?
If I saw that, then I would assume that it isn't ready and they are going to make changes to the OS.

I know PlayBook owners are disappointed but his resoan might be right...whats the point of having a bad experience of BB10 on PlayBook when it's hardware is not up to it standards...BlackBerry would love to load bb10 on PlayBook to increase its bb10 subscriber base but seems like it's not a good technical option.

Too big a promise with VERY LITTLE gain.

You don't do this kind of things when your company isn't making a profit.

Personally, I don't really care because for my use, the Playbook is okay..

This is not really surprising. Everyone was mentioning that with 1GB RAM, performance of BB10 on Playbook will crap. There were some mentioning that they can remove the Hub, but anyone with solid software development experience knows that something so ingrained in the OS such as the Hub will take a LOT of effort (read MANY MANY months) to remove if you don't have any army of developers working on it. They will obviously not put an army of developers on it since they don't make any money from it.

BlackBerry have been saying all year that the PlayBook WILL get BB10 in 2013, and now they turn around and slap loyal users in the face?
    RIM made and broke promises.

Finally someone with sense. I'm not happy about this either, but it's better to stick with the devil you know sometimes than search for greener pastures. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

That being said, I'm going to see if I can load it up anyways.

i think the real issue is cleaning up the qnx code in bb10... to make it lean and mean... if you check the api/documentation... there's a lot of qnx junk code still in bb10... who needs those?

Does no BB10 mean no software updates at all? That's the impression I get, which means they're slowly pulling the plug on the tab market. Which has me not very happy at all. I don't want any of the other options out there. But I don't want to be stuck with this piece of hardware that becomes less useful to me by the day, either.
