hey my girlfriend back in germany just got a curve like me. The problem is that when we try to add each other on the blackberry messenger it doesn't work... We both sent each other friend requests and didn't recieve any errors or anything. Neither of us recieved the requests and I can't figure out why. Does it not work internationally??
Yes they work internationally. Fees will vary by provider. You may have to pay for international data as a feature through your carrier. You may want to call Verizon and ask them if they have that and what they charge.
You don't need an international data plan. But you both do need a BB data plan. And only one of you should send a PIN request, not both of you. Otherwise you both end up under pending. Make sure you are adding by PIN.
