Hi, I bought a used Blackberry and I didn't know that I should get the old user to release the phone from their carrier. Well I know now. But I was just wondering, I know this means I can't get e-mail, but can I still use Blackberry Messenger and internet? Or nothing at all? I don't want this phone to be a total waste.

You can unlock it by calling your carrier and provide them with the IMEI and the PIN. They can unlock it for you.

Exactly --- unless of course, the BB has been declared stolen, lol
