I don't think Piers is a selling point, but way back (2006ish) when I'd sell my used blackberry on craigslist, I'd include pics at the bottom of a few celebrities holding it and say something along the lines of it still being a hot device with everyone from CEO's to celebs and world leaders using it.

You wouldn't believe the additional replies I got to those listings vs when I didn't include the pics. Marketing is a fascinating topic.

The particular thing he did in the UK as editor was to print a front page story detailing how British troops were torturing prisoners in Iraq. It went round the world and doubtless cost the lives of several soldiers in revenge attacks. Trouble is, the story wasn't true and the images were faked. Not many forgive him for that.

As a swiss guy who owns a lot of guns, I personally don't like him for his attitude anyways.

But in general, even though he is a BlackBerry supporter, tabloid journalism is not real journalism. Serious journalism is getting rare, which is a very sad thing. People think what they get for free on the streets and on the internet is quality and people like him promote that opinion. This leads to all the poorly investigated stuff we read about BlackBerry regularly.

Can we please ease up on all this FUD about him being a fugitive in UK. He goes to England anytime he wants and attends major Arsenal FC games without anyone arresting him. He even just started a column in the Daily Mail UK.

Many don't like him because he is a strongly opinionated person and he has the guts to put himself out there. Plus he is disgusted at the American gun laws which of course make him hated by many Americans. Let's not forget, he probably has the most followers on Twitter by any journalist in the world.

Just like how the Kardashians have probably more daily viewers than other shows...

No, I said why I don't like him, and that's the truth. I never said he was indicted, but it's still a possibility . It's not some far out there stretch. He's considered filthy in the UK.
