At least Sasktel has the full lineup, so I figured this deserved some pics. All the devices were quality, and I understand why people have a hard time choosing.

That Dtek50 was a nice device, a lot thinner than anything else as far as I could tell. I was still partial to the Classic because I am old School and love my 9900, but still cool to check out.

In the thickness photo the Dtek was on the left and I believe it was a Passport on the right. Well, you guys will know for sure? Ok here are the rest, and you can see how thin the Dtek50 is. Feels nice in the hands. Very grippy back cover.

Pics taken with 9900. I guess a mod will have to approve the second set because they get flagged if there is no writing with them....

Ya that's what I was wondering, but didn't want to say anything

I have to say I'm not an Android guy either, but I would probably take that Dtek50. Seemed blazing fast and a perfectly sized screen for a glass slab.

Not even in most of Canada. I haven't seen that many Blackberries on display in a store since about 2013.

Lols I'm thinking maybe Saskatchewan is single handedly keeping Blackberry alive

Ah 2013, the good old days, the year I bought an unlocked 9790, had a soft keyboard like a Q10. Seemed like soooo long ago

Beautiful lineup. Really nice to see that display. The Canadian carriers are pretty good for stocking the BlackBerry lineup here in Vancouver too. Believe it or not, the Bell display in a mall near my house had a 9810 and 9780 on display all the way up until the start of 2015.

You're kidding??? Cool. Any 9900's? That must mean there were still new 9780's in stock as late as last year. I just gave away my 9780 about 2 weeks ago to a buddy who has never had a cell before Kinda miss it but getting pretty slow for browsing. Perfect call quality though.

Bell is getting pretty popular in Saskatoon. I sure wish competition actually lowered the prices, but it didn't.

Yeah it was nice to look at every time I walked past the display. It was not your typical store, it was a very large glass kiosk in the middle. It was almost as if the BlackBerry's were forgotten about. I never talked to the attendants about it because, one, I didn't want to look like one of those "weird BlackBerry guys" and two, I didn't want to bring their attention to them and have them possibly remove them from the display.

But yeah. Kinda interesting that they still had a 9780 displayed. Almost a bit shocking. No 9900 though.

    That's almost more shocking

Speaking of "weird Blackberry guys" you should have seen the look on the Sasktel girl's face when she asked if she could help me and I said "na I'm just here to take pics of the Blackberries" and then I pulled out my 9900 and made sure she saw it

She had a look that combined confusion with HORROR, no joke.

I can only imagine. In Vancouver, there's still a good collective of BlackBerry fans. Only on a few occasions have I been looked at like I have leprosy when I ask for the BlackBerry.

Did they? Because only the Classic has been officially discontinued. Of course lots of people will tell you that they "abandoned" BB10 models and left them to starve in the cold winter, along with their dear users who can't live without them.

When they did the exact same thing to the PlayBook, at least they had the decency to sell off the remaining stock at a discount - these are being sold full price. The discontinued Classic is being sold for over $500 (equivalent) in the UK ShopBlackBerry store. Imagine paying $500 for a new phone and then realizing it's getting no new updates, WhatsApp will stop working in three months, etc.

Bearing in mind that I'm in small town Manitoba, the last time I was in my store (quite some time ago) they had a PRIV and a Passport.

I see on MTS's web site that they only sell the PRIV, although some stores may have BB10 left.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds because MTS has been bought by Bell, so we may see some upheavals in the offerings once Bell gets to taking over more.

Living in Germany and I haven't seen a BlackBerry at a store since the Passport was released. Sadly None of the new Android devices.

Indeed the ShopBlackBerry prices are ridiculous, I wonder who buys from there? The Classic is trending at $200 on Ebay. They still think they're BlackBerry of 2010 with these prices.

    Had to read that twice.

"Look that combined confusion with horror"

    You pulled out your...
    ....phone.

    Got it. *Cough*

Seriously though I haven't seen that reaction where I live in the boonies of rural north Ontario. People don't seem to look at each other's .. Phones.. much, here..
LOL. Then again I am in a fairly economically depressed area. Having a phone at all seems to be enough.

When I travel to Toronto, having a 'Berry of any kind, actually seems to be a friendly conversation starter. People in the elevator will strike up a conversation about how they or someone they know are still clinging to their old 'Berries. A friend's gf, who works on Bay St., was just given a new Bold by her company, as there was some concern her former one may have been compromised. She was offered a "glass slab" as you call them, and apparently wrinkled her nose at it. She is a modern businesswoman & loves her BB.
