No I'm not. I'm including plenty of fudge factors for other intangible items you are simply glossing over from obviously having little or more than likely no experience with electronics. Time to pro produce a device from start to finish is a cost. Extra connectors, screws, etc, is a cost. Using a 16x9 screen format and screen that are basically now an industry standard compared to going to a 1:1 720x720 screen that would be ultra low volume in comparison is a cost. All these, any many more little costs that don't fit into you slap a keyboard on a device for a buck model are real. If you can't comprehend the nuances of manufacturing and engineering even when people try to explain that your over simplified add a keyboard pricing model is flawed, then don't be belittling other people's "sense".

Then how do you explain the 9720? How do they keep it so cheap and profitable? Obviously the bigger costs lie somewhere else with the Q10, don't you think? Legs not blame the keyboard.

Obviously there are other factors no one is saying the keyboard is the only factor. And are you seriously comparing the technology behind the 9720 to the q10? If a phone like the 9720 which was all touch and with same low end specs as the 9720 existed then the all touch would be cheaper than the actual 9720, especially since the touch experience sucks on the 9720 and I wont even go to comparing how inferior both the touch and keyboard technology and incorporation of both are on the 9720 compared to q10.

You mean like the 9380 that wasn't cheaper then the 9720?

    How quick people forget.

Is a physical keyboard a justified reason to price the q10 so high compared to z10-imageuploadedbycb-forums1399672129.442350.jpg

    9380 is 3 years old

9720 is not even a year old

    Again, get your facts straight

Ancient 806 MHZ processor, low res screen, parts used in other BBOS devices for years, Curve style keyboard, 512 MB RAM/Memory, no NFC, lower res camera. It is basically a Curve in a larger chassis with a touchscreen (see CrackBerry review for that exact statement).

Look at how cheap the Z3 is going to be with much better specs than any BBOS device and a low res all touch screen.

They are virtually the same phone from a hardware perspective. You brought up the comparison. I paid $279 for Curve 9360 devices three years ago which is close to a 9720 with a touchscreen added.
