FYI I got this "email" a few minutes ago.
From: BlackBerry from Research in Motion Limited
    Verify (email address

Your BlackBerry device cannot access (email address )....The password might have changed. You must validate (email address ) by verifying the password.

This email didn't show up on my PB or PC. Just a heads up.

You know, I used to get something similar whenever BIS had trouble talking to my email servers. If it didn't show anywhere else but your device, there is a very good chance it is a system message letting you know of the issue.

And if you can still access your account, then all you have to do is ignore it.

BUT, just to be on the safe side of it:

    • Did it have ant links?
    • Did the links point to anywhere they were not supposed to (as in, link reads blackberry.com but opens bbcom.cn?)
    • Did it as you to send your password or any other data somewhere?

If answers are no, then it was not a phishing attack.

I didn't click on the link. Also, when I hovered the cursor over the "from" line, the cursor disappeared.
