    Hey,

Is it worth paying extra for any sort of "extended warranty" on the Storm or is the Verizon one decent enough to cover you for the first year? Has anyone had to use either warranty (the manufacture, Verizons 1 year or any sort of extended?). Just wondering if it's worth paying extra....

IMO, no. By the time the extended warranty kicks in you'll be on
to your next phone. If I were to insure a phone I'd stick with the
    carrier insurance.

Save the money and buy accessories

Sometimes you can add your phone to your homeowners/renters policy; check with your insurance carrier. They generally have a smaller (if any) deductible on it, and it can save you the $5-$10 that carrier insurance will cost you.
