This is just the first I heard of it. I don't see how it can reflect badly on RIM. It's a path they are the sponsors but it was nothing they did that caused it.
its very sad the bloke has died i think rim wanted press attention for the event after a lot of bad press but they did get attention for all the wrong reasons what happened was not really rim's fault but it just leaves another negitive sorey in the press hopefully they will recover from this
It wasn't a RIM employee or a RIM employee party. Reporter's looking to add this to RIM's list of problems are just looking for negative angles.
There was a killing at a Raiders-49ers game in last year's pre-season. Does that reflect badly on ATT since they sponsor the park or was it the NFL or one of the teams' fault? Or maybe it was just a couple of idiots that would have acted the same stupid way regardless of where they were.
Is Apple to blame for every person that was mugged for their iPhone?
If it was a apple party they prob wouldn't of said a iphone party,we're'as cos its bb they had to say it was a blackberry party, just to try get bad press towards rim.....not saying that's the case, its just the idea what's going into my head
New tagline: if you can't buy an iPhone, sell your kidney to buy one, because if you don't have an iPhone...well you don't have an iPhone
Good point. Sadly it looks like both Apple and RIM are doing their part to encourage organ donation, though unfortunately only one of the donations was voluntary.
So as it turns out they were no yobs, they were both professional people, Ashley Charles the killer was an award winning creative director and Phillip Sheriff was actually working for Rim in O2 telecommunications. Go figure.
very sad who ever he was it was ment to be a good night for blackberry some postive press but its all over the news for the wrong reasons its about time rim had some postive news for a change
