Chen may not say a lot, but one thing he's been adamant about, is putting 'business first'.

It's no secret BB10-scratch that-Blackberry is struggling to gain traction. Consumers aren't interested and business' are reluctant to buy in.

With that in mind, the number one player in enterprise is Apple at the moment. Google and BlackBerry have been working together to establish "Android for Work"... Perhaps Chen see's an opening.

Android is already widely adopted, but there is no Android device specifically aimed at enterprise-at least not directly or successfully.

Perhaps Chen see's a chance to grab that niche demographic that Android so desperately needs to overthrough Apple and that BB10 has been unable to attract. It would guarantee a spot for Blackberry in the everchanging Android portfolio and give Android (GOOGLE lets be honest) a chance to overtake the enterprise segment.

Perhaps Blackberry's goal is truly to become number one in business again. Just through different means and unforeseen partnership.

    Interesting take. With consumer support,...

For those who want the original keyboard experience. And the app argument will be deader than dead... :-)

Where Google is trying is not a highly secure minded enterprises so BBRY is just an another device vendor. Most probably they are BYOD and it really depends upon THE individual who buys/sees device/OS and all +ve/-ve of BB10 devices apply here. That too if BBRY does marketing to the max possible.

Interesting. I don't recall reading that Google and Blackberry weren't interested in 'highly secure minded enterprises' in thier mission statement. Here have a look:

    http://el.blackberry.com/googleandroid

And I am pretty sure that the "ANDROID for Work" initiative isn't BYOD.

BES 12 supports Android, iOS, and Windows so feel free to bring a tablet. If business needs require one, lol. ; )
