I'd noticed that some apps didn't work on the leaked versions of the 10.3 OS and initially thought that was cos they were leaks. The official OS is here finally and it's strange to see that some apps (including "built for BlackBerry" apps) are not 10.3 compliant. Games by Vector (Beach Buggy Blitz, Riptide GP, Shine Runner), Jetpack Joyride, Minion Rush, Trid, Run In Crowd, Kiwi Wonder and what have you......have all failed to go beyond the loading phase. They just keep loading and won't open. Some of these apps are paid apps nd not free and it's strange to see that there's no developer support for any, even after purchase. There's never been an update to any of these apps and so perhaps that's the reason they ain't working on 10.3. Is there anyone with similar or different experience with any of these apps or with any app at all? That would enable us know if it's an issue from this end or its a general one. I'd have thought an upgrade of the OS wouldn't completely render the app inactive but that seems like the case here.

Are you on a Passport? Reason I ask is I have this problem as well with the same games. Funny thing though, I installed the latest leak last week on my Z30, which is the same OS, and they run fine. I figured it is a Passport issue.

I see from your attached files that you're playing two of the games I listed. I use a Z30 and the case has only become more interesting,seeing that it's not everyone who's affected.

That meant the app coded using AIR and BlackBerry drop support for air app unfortunately

Think I've just found something strange again.....(for the games). I figured all the games that are integrated into the Games and scoreloop thing won't play. To have it work, you have to launch the "Games" app and select not now, then the game launches (doesn't work for all). That process has to be repeated each time you need to play the game. As for the other apps, I don't know what to do. I'd be glad if anyone knows how to get rid of the "Games" app by BlackBerry cos it's built into the OS and they do not support it anymore

Unload your apps which don't work, then reload and then restart your device.

Anytime you restored your apps you would have to deselect BlackBerry Runtime, settings, and System Applications. This will most likely eliminate that issue. Keep in mind, whenever there is a major update and makeover for an OS you will undoubtedly come across some weird bugs.

When did u back up? Before or after u had the issues with those apps?

Backed up after issues, wiped, reloaded OS then restored from backup.

All the apps will be there including Android apps, but you would have to reconfigure your app permissions, settings, accounts, folders and restore your contacts and Remember through an app like Ultimate backup (Ultimate Backup for BlackBerry 10 - BlackBerry World). It sounds like a pain, but it does help. Well at least I hope in your case. Updating an OS and restoring especially after major changes makes a bit of mess on any OS after a while. If this sounds like too much I guess skip it. Either way good luck.

Well, thanks for all the info....so if anyone buys an app that operates on air, it's his loss right? Anyway, I've done a wipe and restore, but the situation only gets worse....some apps still won't work, some games (integrated into scoreloop) freeze apparently cos there's no more scoreloop. The screen becomes irresponsive when they're launched and loaded. Android apps also don't load.....instead I get this: (photo attached). I decided to load 10.2 using an autoloader and everything works as it should except the android apps. So at the moment, I can't even return to what I used to have. All cos blackberry released an upgrade.
