    1) It has a sticker inside with the imei etc on it with RIM research in motion on it

    2) Its NOT dual Sim

    3) Its Not a TV phone

    4) It comes up white with hour glass then the BB logo on start up not some cheapy tune and "welcome" on the screen.

    5) It will connect to Dektop manager and show the PIN etc.

    Most fake devices will not run the BBOS. As well as the other aforementioned items.
