I have been waiting to get a Bold, but due to the probable price and uncertainty as to when it is coming out, I am going to get a Curve or 8820 (through AT&T). I currently have a 8700 (through Verizon), and it is fine, but too bulky.
the 8820 has better build quality in my opinion. however, the 8310 (Curve) feels better in the hand. also, as benzworm pointed out, if the camera is an issue for work, go with the 8820. also, if you want both the GPS and WiFi, go with the 8820. however, if you do not care about WiFi and the camera is not an issue, go with the Curve. In fact, I heard a nice person is selling one in the Marketplace section... **cough cough**
I haven't used an 88xx series phone but just like benzworm says, most usually use the 88xx series because their job requires a phone with no camera. Other than that the curve has just about the same stuff and its smaller, which is great.
