I am so freaking happy that I am soon gonna have my beloved equalizer back!!! My last 3 bbos phones all had a really good equalizer and I was heartbroken almost to the point of deal breaker when I found out BB10 had no equalizer in any form....but alas I held out and blackberry has answered my smartphone prayers!! all I want in a phone is a decent sound which BB10 delivers above and beyond. And a good equalizer but now BB10.3 is gonna have from the looks in the video an amazing radical equalizer to feed my sound tuning addiction thank.you.blackberry.

There's an irritating background hiss when you play music on the Q5 at least using headphones. So for now I won't use it as a MP3 player. I don't know though, if this is a hardware or software issue.

Maybe it's an issue with the Q5 then, I tested 2 Q5s and both had this background noise. I mean, it's still fine to hear music on the phone, but alas it can't replace a good mp3 player as of now. Then again, I might be spoiled with my Cowon J3.

Really hope they showed the music app some love. Kind of lackluster as it is now in my opinion. Slow to load music from the sd card and many times, for me anyways, it will just stop reading my SD card. I'm looking forward to 10.3

Did you test them both with the same headphones? I've come across some headphones over the years that don't work well in jacks that have stereo+mic configurations. Could be a different physical jack on the Q5 then on others.

Annoying, the panel close when you select a setting so you click a lot if you want to try various settings.

The tag analyser don't find the year in the ogg files, they are all in an unknow year.

Now they just need to add the option to normalize the volume and i am happy.

Yep, I tested them with the same headphones, but I tested at least 1 of the Q5s with another set of headphones and it was the same issue.

Sad to hear, my brother just told me he wants to get a Q5. He's a bit cheap, so doesn't wanna spend the extra on a Q10, but I can understand.

I agree that the hiss is there. I have it on my Z10 when connected in my car via Aux and charging. It is only there when charging...kind of like my Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset has hissing when I'm charging it via a cellphone charger and not via the USB on my laptop.

Then again...it happens with every device I plug into my front-loader that is charging...so it is only because of how electricity works in my case.
