    Hey friends,

Maybe its a kind of stupid, but I like it:

Wanna tell you something about the "retro-feeling", maybe it helps you to come over the time until we see some new devices or QNX.

Today, I found my very first Blackberry (8700) in a box under my bed again.
I was wondering myself its still working...
So, I switched my SIM-card, took out the charger - yes, its still working. (but slow as molasses in January)

After the start up of OS 4.1:
There it was again, that feeling I had at this time...
As E-mail on a mobil devices was A BIIIIG thing (besides a VGA camera phone or having more than 10SMS in you Inbox). HAHAHA!
So after a few minutes of holding the trackwheel device and remembering some good times with it I switched back the SIM-card into my 8900.

I thought of having that feeling on my current OS 5.0 device (8900) and its possilbe (a bit) with a few changes...

    1. Change your font:
BB-button ---> Options ---> Screen/Keyboard ---> choose the Font family "BBMillbank" ---> and maybe a bigger fontsize (to make it more retro).

    2. Change your inbox:
Go into you mail box ---> BB-button ---> Options ---> General Options ---> Change "Display Message Header On:" (from "2 Line") to "1 Line"

    3. Change your wallpaper:
Just find a wallpaper or a similar you had at that time.
I just copied a background picture from my 8700.

    So! Welcome in 2005/2006!
    Hope you like it!

I had an 8700 way back when. That thing was a workhorse. I loved it.
