Do you ever dig out your old BB from the drawer and have a play? I just put my SIM in my old Bold 9700 and had a mess. Ahhh was fun. Am I sad? The missus calls me a geek....
Don't know if that's geekiness. If so, I'm right with you. I have taken my old 8310 out for a spin. However, I don't know if current SIM cards are compatible.
Once in a blue moon I pull out the old 9630 and take it for a spin, all the other old phones are CDMA, so they just sit in a drawer.
AdamRollins, you're not the Lone Ranger, my wife calls me a geek every day, but she's a tech-****, what does she know?
** DISCLAIMER** I realize that the wife may read this post, so just in case, I say: "Embrace the stone-age baby, I'll still love you".
From: The Geek whom keeps your phone running despite your many attempts at killing it.
I pull out my old Curve 8310 and have a play every now and again. The OS seems so primitive now but it still looks as shiny and new as the day I bought it and I love how it feels in my hand.
Wish I could do that with my 9700...but the screen crapped out on me and now only shows white. I really like that phone, too, it was light and perfectly balanced, unlike my Torch 9800.
I couldn't agree more... I got a Bold 9000, 8310, 9800, 9380 and now 9900... I LOVE the thickness of the bold 9000 in my hand... It feels better then the 9900 IMO

LOL
I just thought RIM needs to launch a devices in a throw back form factor nice and thick, and the advertising campaign should be "It's all about Girth"
I like going back to the old BlackBerry devices. It is easy because they aren't that much different from the newer models. I have recently gone back to the 8330 and have been using it for about three weeks. I have made some tweaks to the the housing, now the phone looks sweet and thanks to Opera mini and Google sync, I'm not really missing anything.
I love the feel of my curve in my hand. Just brought it back out as I plan to make some updates to it. My best friend thinks I'm crazy and I should sell them.. I do not think I can part with them
Charging the old 8310 right now and taking it on vacation with me. Leaving my 9860 home so I won't have to worry about losing it, damaging it or getting sand in it.
Dig this, I am still using my bb 7230. Everyone's still amazed by the look of the bb ancestry. I also use my bb curve and I plan to get a playbook in the next few days.
Vintage rocks! Pin me, lonely here in qatar 28E69209
I just unboxed my first BlackBerry, the 6210. Gosh I thought I was sittin' on top of the world when I got that one. Protected her like my first born, still as new as the day I bought her, and she charged right up, and 'lo and behold, I find old phone numbers of people I have forgotten on her. Real collector's item that one.
