OK, with BB10 pushed back to Q1 2013 and my Torch dying a slow death, what BB should I get to hold me over until the launch of BB10 ??

I really like the full touchscreen aspect of the Torch, but I also like the Bold 9900.

Before anybody comes in with a stupid iPhone or Android idea, I'm staying with Blackberry, so don't waste your time.

9810 with 7.1.3xx is a great choice! Execelent smartphone with all the goodies and with the 7.1.3xx upgraded OS, the browser and battery equal any smartphone on the market-android or otherwise--much faster than iPhone for sure.

My contract was up last February, I've been holding out and holding out... now with this and my Torch going mental from time to time (it actually started playing music Tuesday which I don't - as far as I know - have on my phone, I actually had to do a battery pull to get it to stop!!), it's time to look at temporary replacements until BB10 shows itself.

So happy that I decided to upgrade to my 9900 2 weeks ago. I somehow had a gut feeling that BB10 would be delayed till next year.

I'm pretty sure the 9930 isn't available where I live (something about no SIM card, that is right isn't it?), but the 9900 is available... or there's always the 9810 (Torch2) which has been mentionned already.

I've been telling people to just get the 9900 and not wait around. This delay is not surprising at all. I remember all the delays from other phones. No surprise at all....

OP, same here my phone is seriously dying. The screen is shot and won't turn on if I try to access the physical keyboard. I have the Torch 9800 and I am able to upgrade already. I was going to wait for BB10 since it was suppose to come out b4 the new year. Now I really don't know if I should switch to the new Samsung Galaxy S3 or wait til 2013 and hope my phone doesn't die.

Btw I've been with blackberry since the curve 8300, then went to the bold 9000 (I think that was it)

In all honesty, it makes no sense to wait around for BB10 if you're due for an upgrade now and your phone is in shambles.

i love my 9860..i use it every day for work.. i thought bb10 would be pushed back thats why i upgraded from 9800

True, but why upgrade to the Torch 2 when I don't think its a huge upgrade from the first 1. I wanted to wait for bb10 cuz I figured it would be a mass improvement from the Torch 1

Coming from a Torch 9800 myself, I chose the 9900. I would never go back to the slider form factor and give up the keyboard the 9900 has - amazing. Plus the screen has a high dpi useful in browsing. All that said, if you really liked the form factor/keyboard of the 9800 then go with the 9810.

I upgraded from a Bold 9650 to a Bold 9930 in April, best move I've made in a long time and that decision is looming even larger now. BB10 with keypad.......who knows if we will ever see that device
