    Most probably, but the key here is that he did not switch to a secure and private BlackBerry android phone...

    I expect that his BlackBerry didn't do much more than that either....
    His old BlackBerry was hand built by the NSA. The only thing stock on it was the logo. The same is true of his current phone.

    I took from the Kimmel visit that Obama still uses two phones. Don't know what his current modified high security phone is.

    It was probably easier to hack an iPhone and customize it than to try and thwart the security of the PRIV.


    But really he didn't use a BlackBerry and whatever he is using now... isn't what it appear to be. It's a very custom hardware, software and probable services package... in a vanilla wrapper.

    I thought his new phone was based on a Samsung phone running Android heavily customized by the NSA.
