I was kidding about the radar detector, I know it's not possible and won't ever be. As an aside, the last time I checked Trapster wasn't available for me (either Curve or Verizon wasn't supported I forget which).

    On a serious note though:
    1. Always have had Monopoly on my phones, I'm obsessed with the game and ticked that BB's don't have it.
    2. A Guitar Tuner would be awesome
    3. A FREE all in one instant messenger (I realize that's not fair to ask you do to it for free, but honestly, it's not worth it to me to pay for one, I rarely use it anyway. I just feel that's a hole left in the market right now)
    4. A Gas Prices app (I currently have gasbuddy as a bookmark, and can look it up that way, but an app would ... sweet!
    5. A better calendar that will sync with google calendar
    6. A photo editor

That should be a good list to get ya going, I'd like these all by Thursday please! lol just kiddin!

I know I would love an app that tracks nfl individual player stats in real time to help us follow our fantasy teams. I've seen many others asking for this as well on forums.

Anything you can do would be appreciated!

Something that puts the current time under the phone time to let you know when you've changed time zone but goes away when they match. I'm constantly going between eastern and central time zones and this would be great.

So long as it doesn't replace the time then I wouldn't update the time and my calenders would be off.

And personal one that probably won't get much thought is an app to follow the WRC. Bugs me that Viigo doesn't support the second most popular racing series in the world behind F1.

Would love an NHL app that allows you to pick the teams you want to follow and receive updates on games, trades, news, etc.

a BASIC budget app. One that lets you input your transactions as you make them, choose whether you paid by cash, credit, debit, or paypal, and then be able to generate reports that tell you how much each amounts to. And looks GOOD.

    A Canadian compatible music recognizer.

How about an app that will let you scroll an email or web page with the side key to make one-handed use more easy? I have been looking for that one for months. Also a gps location-based profile manager would be great!

I would like to see an app made that will pop up during a phone call if the alt button or any button is pressed. When activated the app would display a picture of a standard telephone keypad large enough to display the letters under the numbers. Here's the reason. On a bb most of them can dial 1800 FLOWERS by holding the alt key while dialing the letters on the qwerty keypad, but when you try to dial a persons last name on a typical corporate phone tree it doesn't work. I have to whip out an old phone or guess and its a pain. I've seen lots of people on this site ask how this can be done. So maybe any way you can figure it out, I don't know.

My suggestion: Take a look at the app for Windows Mobile called SPB Mobile Shell. (well, just the start screen part of it) and also the app for BB called emobile today...
My suggestion is a today screen replacement app, that will actually load as the today screen like emobile today does, that has time, date, next appointments, weather etc all in the one screen in a nice visual display like Mobile Shell.

If I ever learn how to code for BB thats what I would work on...

Something specifically for movie times would be great. I can get the from live search but you can't assign theatres and you gotta wait for it to load and go through a whole process.
An app to control profiles with the volume buttons while on home screen!!!

GasBuddy is also available through the Where app - get it at WHERE &raquo: loading...

Shankeith - I don't know how strong your coding skills are. Consider, for example:

AUDIO password - use the voice recorder, speak a word or a few syllables 3 times to create a key pattern, then use the application to feed login/password strings when unlocked by a new utterance into the VR.

SCAN FOR UPDATES would maintain a table of installed applications, the current version of each and a URL to check for new versions.

SPAM BAM would set rules to automatically route incoming messages to a junk mail folder - messages from unknown addresses with zip attachments - anything containing any variation of "Viagra", etc.

AS THE BIRD FLIES distance calculator lets you collect a table of GPS points and determines the distance between any two of them.

MULTI-LAUNCH lets you set and name icons that launch combinations of applications with opne foreground, others in the background. For example, a "Road Trip" icon might launch Traffic Vizzion and Google Maps in the background and Garmin Mobile in the foreground so while you're getting turn-by-turn directions and the nav map, you can also see your position on a bigger-area map and be alerted to speed traps.

I want an add-in to the Contact Menu or a hotkey. When I call my doc or friend or whomever I want an option to copy the Contact's phone number/address/? to the Calendar application and then I would select the date for the appointment. I had a similar ability on my HP200 Palmtop. Now, I have to manually copy that kind of info to the clipboard (item by item (phone, address)) and then paste it into the Calendar/appointment.

this ones interesting as well, if it can be done, i'll look into this as well

that is pretty usefull as well

alot of people are interested in getting some kind of sports score app for your favourite teams, that might be an option as well

thanks for the brainstorming guys, keep em coming to as well, hopefully other app developers will see this and get inspired too!

I'd like a Sound Pressure Level Meter.

I have asked a couple of developers in here to write me one and they have not had the time.

It does not have to be super accurate + or - 2 dB is enough.

Some of these program suggestions sound kinda crazy... But maybe that's me. I would just like something relative to a general user interface; like the ability to store contacts to the media card, similar to some phones and SIM cards.
