noob question
do i have to turn BT on and off manually or will the divice do it for me... i have been doing it manually and i dont want to take the 30sec or so everytime... is there a setting i have to activate? how much does BT drain the battery?
thanks for helping a BB noob out
EDIT: oh yeah i have a curve 8330

If you are paired with a headset or GPS, you will notice the 8330's battery life is shorter with heavy Bluetooth use. However, just leaving the Bluetooth on without using it, won't affect the battery significantly. And don't disable the BT indicator LED. That won't save any measurable amount of power, and with some blackberry models (I don't know about yours) will actually cause the bluetooth not to work reliably.

So I should just leave it on all the time?

So just leave it on all the time? There is no fast way of switch it on and off... That kind of a bummer...

EDIT: Sorry about the double post... I didn't think the first one went through

I leave mine on all the time. The Manage Connections Icon on the home page will allow you to quickly turn it on and off.
When you posting from wapforums, you have to refresh your page to see that your post went. We all make that mistake a few times.

Thanks for the help JeffH! I'll just leave it on then... 5 days on this and I think I'm getting addicted :D
