no "save image" option in browser

this is sooooooooooooooooooooo frustrating!

i'm just trying to get some wallpaper.

yes, i put the cursor over the image. yes, all the relevant options are ticked., "zoom", "send link" etc.
but NO "save image" option half the time (occasionally, it's there)!!!!

why is that?

Probably due to the site you're using. How about a link?

It's probably due to some javascript associated with the image. Provide a link. Also you can try if it works disabling javascript first!

it was at photobucket.
10 minutes ago "save image" all of a sudden appeared.

i'm so confused.

worked.

so photobucket uses some script that disables the "save image" option?

i find that hard to believe. they're a photo hosting site.

if you have a screen shot app you can save some trouble and just use the take screen shot function whilst zoomed to full screen

Did you notice there is an "options " button in photobucket that gives you the option to download?

Photobucket did just reformat their site. I've never had a paid account there, but imagine an artist could get some protection (as they should). Other sites certainly make it impossible to more than screenshot.
