I just switched my home internet to Comcast so this morning I went to add my new email address to my 9700. When I went to Email Account Management I was told there was a BIS update. This was the 2nd update in less than a month.
Why wouldn't RIM or the service provider notify us about this?
+1. given how infrequently people change their email settings etc.. seems it's easier to prompt for an update on accessing the service, versus telling/having everyone update for no reason...
at the infrequest rate that i change my email settings, and even less frequest from the device itself (i'm old school, and still use the BIS web-site) i have probablly skipped over a couple of updates...
