    Got this from T-Mobile Support:

    T-Mobile HotSpot at Starbucks

T-Mobile HotSpot customers will continue to enjoy Wi-Fi access at Starbucks locations for years to come. Just go to the T-Mobile HotSpot login page and log in with your T-Mobile HotSpot username and password. Really, its that simple.

To connect after January 4, 2009 you will need to select the attwifi wireless network, select roaming options, select T-Mobile HotSpot, then enter your T-Mobile HotSpot username and password on the T-Mobile login page.

Starbucks locations are included in the T-Mobile HotSpot Network so there are no additional charges to use your T-Mobile HotSpot account.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have verified with T-Mobile Hotspot Calling Specialist that we are no longer able to make Hotspot Calling at Starbucks locations.

I still can't believe people pay for WiFi at Starbucks or McD's. They are the only two places I know of in Atlanta that required you to actually PAY for WiFi.

If you didn't have a T-Mo subscription you had to pay by the hour or day. Since AT&T took it over, it's only free if you have a balance on your starbucks card or if you're an AT&T customer....

High-speed internet access at Starbucks | Starbucks Coffee Company

I do know that the AT&T (formerly Waypoit) McD hotspots are pay unless you're an AT&T highspeed subscriber.

I noticed that the T-Mobile SSID at Starbucks went away earlier this year. I added the "attwifi" wireless network to my BlackBerry, and my phone is still making a UMA connection at Starbucks here in NYC.

hahah. I laugh when I see people actually doing or attempting this and sitting in coffee shops with there laptop computers. Why not just buy a router and have your laptop in the convience of your home. I wouldnt ever pay for wifi access personally with anything. For them to make money of that is a rip off.
