I was doing some research on some innovative technology from over the years and stumbled upon this interesting science fact below

"In 1909, scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla wrote a piece for The New York Times--later quoted in Popular Mechanics--that essentially predicted the BlackBerry. "It will soon be possible to transmit wireless messages all over the world so simply that an individual can carry and operate his own apparatus," Tesla wrote. ...."(http://www.popularmechanics.com/tech...phone#slide-75)

Right, because there were absolutely no cellular devices anywhere on Earth prior to BlackBerry in 1999...or since

That there are other devices that fit that description doesn't negate the original post.

Only took 80+ years to happen.

His definition of "soon" is different than mine - although he'd fit right in with Blackberry and their ETA's.

Another prediction of the Blackberry made in 1900:

"Wireless telephone and telegraph circuits will span the world. A husband in the middle of the Atlantic will be able to converse with his wife sitting in her boudoir in Chicago. We will be able to telephone to China quite as readily as we now talk from New York to Brooklyn."

Although over the last few years among Web culture he's been vastly overrated.

Edison was the south end portion of a north facing mule.
    But JP Morgan was worse.
