So my 9700 is having issues: half the time I can't hear the person on the other side (must be something loose). The options I have are:

0. don't fix it, and wait for bb10...
1. fix it...and wait for bb10 (which MIGHT come out in Jan or Feb
2. buy the google nexus 4 for $299 ...which seems like good phone, esp for the price.

Does anyone have thoughts?

try this, press down HARD on the BB logo on the back of your phone, and see if you can hear the person on the other side. if so, you can try cleaning out the area around battery metal contacts (or the area underneath the BB logo) with an airspray can. This worked for me.

i'd suggest waiting for bb10, which WILL come out in Jan or Feb, seeing what the initial reviews are, going to the store to demo the phone. at that point, if you don't like it, by all means get a nexus 4.

Depends on your needs right now. If you are a social media addict and cannot stay away from it, then perhaps you need to buy nexus 4 which available in the market (isn't it?)? Of if Nexus 4 is not available also, please buy 9320 first. It's a good blackberry too with mediocre capabilities and cheap in price. If BB10 comes out, sale 9320 and replace it with BB10.
