The phone slides in perfectly. It only goes in with the screen facing in.
The screen turns off automatically too.

No, at least in my pocket pouch the led is still visible.

Why? Leather holsters or pouches are much better than plastic cases + screen protectors etc...! Leather pocket pouches looks so professional and stylish.

Mine did have the red stitch on it, but it unraveled and fell off.
I'm not going to make a federal case about it.
It is what it is.

It does.

I also bought a pouch for the Z10 from an official BBRY retailer that did not have a red stitch. That pouch felt cheaper and the fit was far too tight.

I still wonder if:

a) Counterfeits leaked into their inventory or
b) BBRY cheaped out on the accessories manufacturing in the early stages of the Z10 roll out.

My bold 99xx has a beautifully crafted official bbry leather pouch of a quality that has yet to be surpassed.
