Greetings! My wife and I have been AT&T Wireless customers since 1999, and have had a variety of different phones over the years. We have been very happy with AT&T, even as it became Cingular and then became AT&T again. We were in the local AT&T store the other day, and had fun playing with the Curve 8310. The best deal the guy in the store could give us was $199 each with a $100 mail-in rebate each with a 2-year contract extension. Well, I was balking at shelling out $398 + tax right there, so I decided to go home and call AT&T Wireless directly, to see if we could get a better deal. A very helpful guy named Aaron in their "customer loyalty" department was able to get us two 8310s at $199 each with a $199 instant rebate each, and no tax, plus they waived the upgrade fees and shipping, so basically we got two 8310s for FREE with a 2-year contract extension.
Our new CrackBerries are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, and I've been perusing this website to try and get ahead of the curve (no pun intended). These are our first true smartphones/PDAs, and from what I've read so far, we made an excellent choice. My wife is an IM addict, so the first download we'll probably get is JiveTalk. I've read a lot of good things about it.
Just wanted to say hey, and if anyone here has any tips or things to watch out for with the 8310 or with AT&T Wireless, please let me know.
Cheers,
TampaDude
