I look at my blackberry today see I have a new IM, it's a request to add me to their contact list, I don't know who they are, can I find out who they are before I accept?
On a related issue, how is instant messages different then just using the messenger? It seems to take a few extra steps to get to the instant messenger then it does to just use messenger.
For the first one, I would just go to the mailbox and PIN them directly. Then you don't need to add them to the contact list if you don't want to. Just say hi, what's up?
Your second point, what are you meaning by messenger and instant messenger? You mean email and the BBM? BBM is good as you can "conference" with people, have more than just one involved in a conversation at a time whereas a PIN message would have to be forwarded around everywhere and is harder to hold a conversation with people that way.
