Isn't the Q10 sort of the "new Bold"?

There's no plans for a new bold. The Q20/classic is close as it gets.

Actually you would be wrong. Chen announced the new bold in last quarter results. No release date yet though.

I haven't heard about that, I think this is great news if true, I would skip classic and wait for that Bold.

I thought the only "new" devices will be BB10 and as far as the Bold goes that it is only being put back into manufacturing production, but it will be the same Bold as always running the same current OS 7.1 that legacy devices have now. Has this been changed ?

There is no " new" Bold, they are re manufacturing the "old" Bold, so in answer to your question you can pick up a Bold running OS7 now, the Q20 or Classic will be running BlackBerry 10 and will be released later this year. The reason the Q20 is called the "Classic " would be the familiar Belt and keyboard on the Bold but that's where the similarity ends. It would be running BlackBerry 10.

He didn't announce a new Bold. He simply announced an additional production run of the already existing Bold.

I recall reading reports that it would be the 9900, as it was the most popular and favorited BBRY device in the company's history, to this day.. But i'm not confident it's not also the 9790
