At the moment I have a Trio 700 with the Palm OS. I am thinking of changing over to a blackberry due to the cheaper data plan offered from Verizon. How much different is a blackberry, from a Palm or smart-phone type phone?
Thanks

any new phone will take some time to get used to. Especially changing OS types, but you won't regret the move.
A BB will not store a lot of programs. I am a new BB user, love it, but was disappointed that I still need to carry my Palm while at work. (lots of medical programs). The programs cannot be run from a medic card like the Palm. Hope this helps.
If you text alot, you'll notice that the BB does not have threaded texting. It does everything else better! Push email for one example.

Welcome to the CB family. Welcome aboard.
The berry does not have a touch screen. That might be an obvious one, but I didn't realize until I had my curve and pushed on the screen and nothing happened... As a palm and then treo user I didn't know there were smartphones that didn't have touchscreens!
welcome! just one hit is all it takes.

it takes some getting used to but i think most the people here are ex-treo users or ex-iphone users
my berry works great every single time i pull it out of the holster
and ive noticed that people here are divided about touchscreen, half love touchscreens and half hate them.
i personally dont care for it, but im sure that one of the new phones coming out with have it
hope this helps!
Hi and welcome.
Used to use a Treo. I love the push email and stability of the BB. Welcome.
