Looks Like the 9700 as you said..

Will be using as an everyday business phone, teathered to corporate email (unlimited).
Thats about the extent of the business side.

Other features would be great as well...

Yep, if they're paying you have no reason not to go with the 9700. I would have done the same but went with the Tour so I'd have a CDMA phone and a GSM phone (my personal one).

    Default New BB Corp phone

Just one more opinion about the Bold 9700 - keyboard is a bit tight. (keys are very close together as compared to the Bold, or even the curve)

If you don't need 3G go with the 8900, it rules. If you do need 3G, it's been said in this thread at least once, 9700

9700 is by far the best phone on th list. 9000 is my favorite personally because of the feel of it. I use the 9700 and I love it.

Why wouldn't someone need 3G? There is no reason not to have the fastest connection possible, especially if someone else is paying for it.

I agree why wouldn't someone get 3g even if they don't "need it." Its an added bonus, and helps for the occasional none corporate fun. If you have access to a 3g phone take it! You don't wanna be left in the dust.

I see the point F0nage is making. I will say this, the 9700 battery life is stellar even with 3G and you can turn it off if the circumstance requires.

    First: Bold 9700
    Second: Curve 8900
    Third: Curve 8520
Perhaps life is just that...a dream and a fear.

Because not everybody lives in a place where there is 3G coverage. For myself, I didn't need it because I already have a 3G phone. I needed the WiFi more and the 8900 costs a lot less than a 9700. And BTW WiFi is the fastest connection possible, it's about 20 times the speed of 3G

I guess I am spoiled because I have 3G all of the time. I came from a 2G/EDGE blackberry. I did not surf the web at all on it because it was so slow! I use Wifi while at home, too. It is faster than 3G but more like 2 times, not 20.

Bold 9700 for the very reason that it has stellar battery life. Don't require/need 3G? No problem, turn it off and you get INSANE EXTREME SUPER battery life

I don't use 3G myself, even though there is coverage (reason being that GPRS data is much cheaper here), but I would personally choose the Bold 9700 over the Curve 8900 or all the other options mentioned here.
