I have a 7100i from nextel and just purchased a 8830 from verizon. I've been up all night trying to tansfer contacts. here is whatI've done.
1. I've downloaded the latest version of Desktop Manager. I hook up my 7100i and it grabs the data and then it asks for the new 8830 which I plug in and it says it updating all of my data. Once finished my contacts are still empty.
2. Tried to pair the two via blue tooth that only work with cars.
3. Sat up all night frustrated this did not transfer any contacts either.
i think chaz means a battery pull so if you havent done that then try it.
otherwise, just backup your 7100 via DM to your computer and then restore to new device...i think you can do this??
