There is a app for WINMO that allow you to transmit a WIFI signal so you can use your laptop off of your phone VIA the WIFI. Has anyone seen anything like this for Blackberry?
ok I have seen it work somewhat a guy at work talked about it. But.. if my phone gets wifi... so does my computer... so what would this add... im sure im missing something.. thanks
i think he means setting up a personal network between your phone and laptop so that you can use the phones connection to 3g/edge whatever to surf on your laptop
If that's the case, then the newest BB Desktop Manager has the ability in it to do this. Right on the main screen is an option called IPModem. I know T-Mobile does not charge you for using this but other carriers probably do.
The modem you are referring to only uses bluetooth or usb. I am wanting to use the internet on my phone transmit that out of the phone via wifi to run and ipod touch or laptop as VanHalen said. Hope this comes out soon its nice to have.
