As a fan of Blackberry and a designer,

I came up with a concept design for a BlackBerry smartphone that

maintains BlackBerry's famous keyboard feature while adding a rotating screen

feature to make up for Blackberry's small screen weakness.

I'll pass sorry, don't like the swivel screen, the concept looks very small as well.

I don't think this product would succeed, but I really like your renders.

It is going to need the option to slide it up vertically as well... You should also be able to cast a hologram and have a video chat with it using a VR device... AND possibly teleport us as well if you could work that one in there... Otherwise the keyboard is appealing... But overall it is pretty ugly... Thank you for sharing though! Something to ponder...

Since many apps don't work in landscape, this wouldn't fly. But nice images though.

I think that it is a neat idea but I see problems in the practical usage of it due to the always landscape mode with the PKB. Keep on designing!

I guess it depends on whether you are wanting a smartphone or something to play with that slides and clicks.

Kinda cool. Looks very similar to the phone Tony Stark used in the first Iron Man movie.

I really like it and would Def buy it, this is a lot better than what I have seen from BB, but prefer that design as full touch.

Although could live with the qwerty if the hub worked horizontally.

I like it. I don't see any problem with the PKB being only available in landscape mode. That's android so I'm pretty sure there's also a VKB present in the device.

Thanks for the concept, btw! I'll definitely buy it if it's real.

Now THAT'S COOL! This is te kind of innovation that Blackberry needs! Anything different, fresh and new usually sells, like the glass screen on the iphone in 2007.

Ever since I posted the "Raised Glass Keyboard Technology" thread showing innovation that was created a few years ago, I have been saying they need something fresh, something "diffferent."

People keep demanding innovation, well this is a fine example.

I say submit these pics to Blackberry regardless and what happens HAPPENS, either way....

The quality is good, but it reminds me of if Motorola ever made a RAZR/Sidekick combo.

Feels like a phone someone would use in a late 1990's movie set in the future.

I'm not a slider fan so I definitely wouldn't buy this design. But I admire your design abilities. Keep thinking, you never know what might catch on!

Did you make sure that the screen could actually mechanically rotate properly? In the second image, the mid-rotation looks off, like it won't get to the 3rd position properly, too high?
