    Hello friends,

I'm not at all new to the site, and I've roamed the forums for a long time now. I have always found much help in these wonderful realms of discussion, and the moment has come for the first time, where I have searched every possible avenue for an answer, and I must ask for help now, due to my empty handed voyage for knowledge that I need desperately.

I was looking in my event log today, and found some VERY strange and unsettling entries that appear to possibly have something to do with Visual Voicemail. I'm not exactly sure what the different codes and stuff mean, but I'm basically concerned that somehow, my phone, and/or internet and message activity is being monitored, hacked, spied on, etc..
I have a 9700 from T-Mobile US with regular BIS service. I do have visual voice mail and use it whenever I receive any. Is this what Tmobile VVM says in the event log for everyone when it is accessed? Is it maybe my security protocol settings? I keep the firewall disabled and I don't encrypt my data. I dont use those TLS settings that authenticate the servers, domains, etc.. Am i supposed to have those security settings enabled? I was under the impression that it was for people with BES, and not for BIS, because the mobile carrier and RIM's server have a built in firewall and protection for BIS users. Is that correct? What are good settings for security? Could being on UMA, or going to certain websites causes hacking and spying? The event entry that really weirds me out is the one that says "...proxy; ready to serve you, master". If anyone could analyze these events and tell me if you have this in yours and if you think any of these entries show outside parties spying on my data, I would be so so thankful. This community is filled with help and I love how there are people dedicated to answering the burning questions. I am in no way a newbie. I am quite a Blackberry expert actually. I am just not very knowledgeable about data security and event log meanings. Ill post the event log entries below. i posted the event log stuff in three different chunks to avoid too much of the useless stuff. Also remember that the chronological order is bottom to top in each of the three chunks. And one more thing to note is that this stuff is logged frequently and 9 out of 10 times, Im not even checking my clicking the app and no phone call has come. Basically, its just doing this on its own and all the time. Is someone constantly spying on my data?

    Thanks so much,
    Nick

You are seriously an f-ing ****. Why in the **** am I going to lie about something so unimportant to lie about. I'm asking for help or if anyone has seen this. IM NOT telling people that I just saw the Dakota at best buy, or that I'm currently sitting with madonna and having a cup of coffee . Roll your eyes all you want, but since you're asking for pics, you obviously are NOT the knowledgeable person about rare questions that I'm looking for. So you can move right along. Oh and unless you have a pic of yourself that u can post, I'm going to assume that you are a computer that spams msg boards, Reed Mclay. Anyone here actually have BB knowledge beyond battery pulls?

Lol Chill he was saying that because what he quoted sounds pretty unbelievable. Now about your BlackBerry being hacked those are some slim chances unless you have installed some unusual and weird apps or bought the phone used and didn't delete everything which was already on the phone.

first question. At any point have you allowed someone to use your blackberry out of your sight? what kind of websites do you visit and what kind of apps do you use? I'm no expert (and feel free to call me a spam bot as well) but this is very unusual. heck, maybe a screenshot will help someone solve your problems. And just a personal note, blasting someone like you did will probably make people a little less eager to help you. If you treat people like sh1t, expect sh1t in return

First of all, I realize this is unusual. I wouldnt have taken the time to write a lengthy post about some common issue that is already answered. Thats the whole reason I'm concerned. Second, I treated no one like sh**. Its the people who constantly give others a hard time on the forum about everything. Here I am, seriously concerned about a strange issue, and I get a response from some forum moderator, who is so self-important because he gets to "patrol" these dangerous forums, where somebody could get hurt if there is a post in the wrong area, and he writes " rolls eyes" and asks for a picture because I'm have to be lying if he has never heard of it. Some of you take yourselves and your "Crackberry GENIUS" status WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. AGAIN, there is no reason to lie about this. I was asking if anyone has seen this on their event log, who is on t mobile. I was also asking what people on BIS do with their security settings. I was not looking for recognition and belief. If you are reading this and you think Im posting this just for the **** of it, THEN MOVE ALONG AND ANSWER AN EASY FIX QUESTION. I was polite and gracious in my post for help. Then I got mocked as some liar, so I gave sh** back to someone who gave me sh** first. For those of you who aren't so self-important, the last question about apps is a good one. I only ever keep Bolt, Pandora, and CB launcher on my phone. Anyone who has T mobile and has VVM, please look in your event log and tell me what you see for VVM activity. I copy and pasted those event log entries, so I see no need for pics and I also have no other cam to take pics on. I dont have a program with screenshots either.

    thanks, Nick

No one on this forum gives a **** about what you have to say about others or your opinion of people. Stick to talking about your question/problem and shut up about the rest. Now if someone tells you to post a picture post the damn picture, if you don't want to work with someone thats trying to help you why should anyone help you.

I never gave an opinion of anyone as a person, you stupid tool. I was simply saying that if people did not have anything helpful to say, they should just move along. Putting an emoticon of someone rolling their eyes and then asking for a picture of what I had just copy//pasted, as if it was something to lie about, is NOT offering help. You are exactly the kind of member that held me back from posting anything for a whole year, even though I have been a member and reader for that long. Once members like you post a few times, they get cocky, and start harassing people for asking anything you don't believe or like. Just because someone is posting for the first time, DOES NOT mean that they don't know about this site or that they don't know just as much, if not more than you about BB's . It also doesn't mean that they have to be lying if you haven't heard of their problem. You said no one cares what I say? Well if that's true, then the same goes for your little rant about something you don't get. You seem really really talented at harassing people on threads that you have nothing to add to...it seems you will make a great forum moderator someday!

You've should known better, everyone here on the forum want to help each other out.
One people know better about the problem than the other.
That's always like that and you can't do about it, as long people still help you be a happy person and ask them polite about your problems.
If you post a WTF comment what do they think about you? Would they think shall i help him next time or nvm him?
It's not like that mate, if you do that in irl people think you are weird, if not they are.
You can't ask a people to HELP me NAO and force them to, what would they think about you?
Don't just start to freak out and ''omfg'' i know you have a problem that you are fed-up with.

Maybe he just gave up, because you started a OMGWTF post.
Not a good impression mate, always be patience ask polite,
there will always be an solution if not then we will find a solution for it.
Hey thank you for your more friendly comment. A lot of what you say is right, just please understand how frustrating it is to have responses from people that are so unwelcoming and rude. I've been looking on these forums daily for a year now and I'm just so sick of seeing how people treat new posters. People act like this is congress or something. I appreciate your sensible and welcoming response though. You acted the way that others should. Thank you

Stick to your problem. On my first post I did try to help you by asking if you have any unusual or weird apps on the phone and if you bought your phone used then
dancing-bass asked you a few questions and you have yet to reply to anything.
