I downloaded Mp3Tag, a great program for managing your music file metadata, and proceeded to use it directly on my BB Torch 9810's micro SD card while the phone was plugged into my USB port. I cleaned up the tags in several folders with mp3's from varied sources so that they would reflect the correct artist and album information. I was frustrated to find that afterwards, my phone's music player still stubbornly refuses to put some songs into the correct albums, and reports more albums for a given artist than there should be. I went back and double and triple checked the tag info, and everything is the way it should be with the tags. I'm stumped as to what could be the cause of this problem. I'm running OS v7.1.0.267, platform 5.1.0.230 (bundle 921).
