Multiple Device Switchers Post Here :)
Would be interesting what devices people have had over the years, what the switched tk and what they use now. This being a blackberry forum we have obviously used other brands but either came back or had two devices at once.
I'll start it off;.
Bold 9000 (two years, loved it) > IPhone 3G (1 year, hated it) > Bold 9700 (1 year, liked less than 9000) > Bold 9900 ( 1 Month, Loved it, she bricked in August of launch date) > Iphone 4 (4 Months, hated it) > Bold 9900 (3 Months, bricked again) > Iphone 4S (5 Months, couldn't stand it and last iPhone I'll own) > Samsung S2 X (2 Months) > Bold 9900 (1 year) > Samsung S3 (Just got it)
LOL.
Because I do loads of browsing and minimal calling the tablet size of the s3 makes it pleasurable to browse. I keep my trusty 9900 for serious occasions. Iphone? Never again. - 11-18-2012, 11:22 AM #2
HTC XDA (Windows Phone) liked it
Sony Ericsson W950i liked it
iPhone 1 had it for 4 months hated it first and last iPhone
Sony Ericsson Xperia (Windows Phone) Loved the OS hated the hardware
BB Curve 8310 loved it
BB Curve 8520 loved it
BB Bold 9700 absolutely adored it
BB Bold 9900 still in love
BB10 Qwerty long distance love relationship

I believe you are correct that a lot of people on sites like this have multiple devices. I, myself, use both a BB 9810 and a SGS II. Both offer different things to fit my mood. I am not loyal to any one device or brand but rather like choice.

Well it's like reading between the lines, "people that have switched devices post here." It Is misleading.
A Better title thread would had been "how many devices have you owned and then switched from"I Stand By BlackBerry! - 11-18-2012, 02:35 PM #9
OK well I assume this is about listing smartphones so I won't list all of the feature phones I had before.
-Apple iPhone 3G, iOS 2.1 - 3.0 (20 months, loved it but eventually got bored)
-HTC/Google Nexus One, Android 2.1 - 2.2 (4 months, liked at first but grew to hate due to laggy performance)
-Samsung Galaxy S, Android 2.1 - 2.2 (3 months, liked it but grew bored of Android)
-Samsung Omnia 7, Windows Phone 7.0 (4 months, loved it but the screen grew terrible burn in and my hatred of AMOLED began)
-Palm Pre 2, webOS 2.1 - 2.2 (17 months, loved it but began having issues with incoming texts and calls disappearing)
-HTC Radar, Windows Phone 7.5 (8 months so far, potentially 11 once switching to BB10 in Feb, like it but definitely switching to BB10 on day 1)
-BlackBerry L-Series (hopefully) - 11-18-2012, 02:41 PM

re: Multiple Device Switchers Post Here :)
I see you didnt bother reading my initial post only the title. Not sure why you decided to troll but whatever.
"Device switchers" means individuals constantly switching devices, don't know why this is so hard for you?
Read between the lines less and read the actual lines more.
Thanks to those that listed their phones

Lets see. In the last eight years:
Sony Ericsson T237 - One year
Sony Ericsson T237 - Two years (replacement for previous one after water damage)
Motorola Razr V3T - Nine months
Samsung something or other - 18 months (replacement for Razr after water damage)
BlackBerry 8700 - Four months
BlackBerry 9000 - Three months
BlackBerry 9700 - 18 months
BlackBerry 9860 - Currently at eight months
I am a pretty heavy devise switcher but I do have some that I want to give special mention too. The Samsung whatever, a slider that still works but I need to charge it. Fantastic little punter phone, very reliable. My 9700 also a very reliable phone for me. However both of these I never really bonded with. They were just mechanical for me and had no personality. My 9000 was my favourite for its size, design, build and feel. Though I didn't have it long the guy I sold it too kept it close to another year before he broke it. That phone I did bond with. Also my 9860 has also been a reliable piece but its also definitely helped me make my decision for what phone to get next. N-Series baby here I come! No move virtual keyboard especially since I have a PlayBook anyway.8700, Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Torch 9860, Z10! No case FTW!!! - 11-18-2012, 03:09 PM #14

Device Switchers Post Here :)
8310 - 8 months (liked it but wanted an upgrade)
9700 - 6 months (liked it but wanted an upgrade)
3GS - 8 months (loved it but iOS 5 upgrade killed it)
Infuse 4G - 4 months (hated it, terrible phone and horrible representation of Android)
9360 - 3 months (it worked, decent window into os 7)
9900 - 5 months (loved it but just too many problems and not enough time to fix them)
iPhone 5 - current (love it, no complaints so far)
Great thread OP. I always enjoy seeing lists of what people are using both past and present.8310-->9700-->3GS-->Infuse 4G-->9360-->9900-->iPhone 5 - 11-18-2012, 08:02 PM #18

Pink Motorola Razr.

Small Nokia soccer mom phone which died in the washing machine
Big Nokia soccer mom phone which lives in a box somewhere
Nokia e63
LG Neon which I took apart and found a child's thumprint on the motherboard
BlackBerry Curve 8320
BlackBerry Curve 8900
BlackBerry Torch 9800
BlackBerry Bold 9780
Mytouch Slide 3G
Iphone 2G

I've had a lot of different phones. Some I only kept for a few months, sometimes I switch back and forth.
My current work phone:
Bold 9900 - Not a fan. It's good enough for work though.
Current personal phone:
iPhone 5 - Really liking this phone so far, better than any phone I've owned.
Past phones:
Curve 8900 - decent phone, my first Blackberry, was used so it wore out quickly
iPhone 3G - Liked it, but iOS wasn't very mature when I used it.
Bold 9700 - Loved this phone. Was amazing for me until it started to fall way behind in late 2010.
Palm Pre - Used for a few months on and off. Great OS, terrible hardware.
Galaxy S - Would probably still be using this phone, but I gave it to my wife. Great phone.
I've also carried around some Windows phones (Old WM phones and a lumia 710), a couple of different Android devices as well as a few BB devices (Storm, torch). But I didn't use them long enough to consider them as a primary phone. - 11-18-2012, 08:07 PM

re: Multiple Device Switchers Post Here :)
Samsung Droid Charge (knew too little about smartphones to love or hate it, I was naiive at best) > BlackBerry Torch 9800 (I think that's the right model number, anyway I loved it) > Sony Xperia Play (loved the gaming controls and software, hated the hardware and bugs) > Samsung Focus Flash (one of my favorite devices I've ever owned) > Motorola Atrix 2 (not too bad) > iphone 4S (I still cringe that I ever owned one) > BlackBerry Torch 9810 (loved it) > Samsung Infuse 4G (decent phone) > iphone 3Gs (owned for all of 30 mins) > BlackBerry Torch 9860 (once again not sure on the model number, didn't really care for it) > LG Nitro (horrible phone) > HTC Inspire (even worse) > iphone 4 (double cringe) > Nokia Lumia 900 (was pretty much my dream phone at the time) > Samsung Galaxy S 4G (okay) > HTC myTouch 4G Slide (pretty great phone actually) > HTC Sensation (owned for maybe a day) > HTC Amaze (a pretty meh phone) > BlackBerry Bold 9700 (my favorite phone I've ever owned) > Samsung Exhibit II (owned for all of 24 hrs) > Samsung Galaxy S 4G Blaze (by far my favorite Samsung android) > T-Mobile SideKick 4G (actually kinda liked it for the time I had it) > Nokia Neuron (fell in love with symbian through this phone) > Droid Bionic > Samsung Stratosphere > Motorola Droid 2 Global > Samsung Galaxy Precedent > Kyocera Hydro > BlackBerry Curve 9310 (miss it) > Motorola Droid X2 > Palm Pre Plus > BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 (trying desperately to get a BB with a Physical qwerty now) >>> to be continued >>>
