MP3 Playback Problems
I have an annoying issue. Some (not all)of my mp3 files either 1. Do not play at all, or 2. Play most of the song, and then ends abruptly. I started by manually transfering the files to a 4GB SD card. Then when that didnt work, I transferred using the Sync function in WMP with the exact same results. THe mp3's play fine in iTunes and WMP. Any ideas as to what is going on or how to correct?
Thx

Were any of them purchased from iTunes? A BB cannot play any audio file that contains DRM content protection. Most of the files you get from iTunes will contain DRM.

Thx for the reply SK. No, all of them are nonDRM, ripped from my personal library through iTunes.

The only other thing I can think of that could cause a problem is the encoder used to encode the mp3s.

the blackberry player does seem to have some issues with mp3 playback. mine occasionally plays just a couple seconds of a song and then skips to the next. if i press the prev button on my headset to play it again it usually plays just fine. I once saw an error flash up when it did this, but it happened so quickly i couldnt read it.
I am guessing it is a problem with reading from the sd card corrupting the data or something.

I have been using my Verizon 8130 as my main MP3 Player since I got it when they first came out. Suddenly, many albums do not show up. What gives? I have tried all sorts of things. I deleted several of the albums and then reloaded them.. Still, some simply (now) do not show up. Some are my own that I made with all proper mp3 tags. They used to show up and now they do not.
I installed flipside mp3 application and it finds them all.
Any ideas?
