Is it that common for BB keyboards to stop working with the slightest amount of moisture?

Apparently if you have your BB in your pocket a break a sweat your phone is done. I had mine in my pocket for 2 hours the other night while working a carnival and apparently I broke a sweat. Now the moisture indicators have turned pink and the keyboard no longer works. I am now contemplating getting another phone but wondering if the BB is the way to go if they are that sensitive to moisture. My phone has never been wet.

I have an 8330 now. Any suggestions out there?

Yep, it's common. Especially on the 83xx series.

No, you shouldn't carry the device in your pocket without some sort of case or other protection.

And FYI, sweat = water and water = wet.

Thanks for the clarification on sweat equaling water. I was unaware of that. My point was that my phone has never been submerged in liquid or had any type of liquid spilled on it.

Thanks for your post though, it was most helpful.

Oh, and my phone was in a case.
