For the less technically inclined, it currently states 500x500 is the ideal size but this will give you a very scaled down image to 100x100.

250x250 or 300x300 right now, it will still look good. Seeing a lot of borked avatars at the moment across the forums, lol.

I think the change made it so you can't change the profile picture that displays in your account info though.
