Mobile Nations' Health & Fitness Month is back in 2013! It's contest time!
It's that time of year again. February is fitness month here at Mobile Nations. A time for us to get together and get in shape, share tips, tricks and recipes for success. We'll be reviewing the best apps and accessories to use and we'll have give aways and daily contests. Of course, we'll be having fun too. You can follow all the fitness posts in the CrackBerry blogs but be sure to make your way to the forums daily for the contests.
This here is as our first contest, STEPPING UP! Every day this week there'll be a thread right here in the forums -- starting with this one! -- and all you have to do to enter to win is tell us what exercise or activity you did today. It can be walking or running, playing soccer or doing yoga, swimming or dancing -- anything that makes you move. If you have a Fitbit, Nike Fuelband, JAWBONE UP, or any gadget with a pedometer, you can simply share your results!
At the end of each day, we'll pick one winner and give them a $20 gift certificate. How's that for motivation?!
So get ready, and get posting in the thread below! - 02-04-2013, 10:31 AM #2

I'm sure you'd like to know what some of Team CrackBerry get up to, so I'll be sharing here too

Today, I had an hour class of Taekwon-Do.
Let's do this! - 02-04-2013, 02:17 PM #13
My wife gave me a Nike Fuelband for my birthday yesterday. Still have to find an optimal goal based on current level of activity. But I have exceeded my goal for the first 2 days. I do a lot of walking (have a dog). I need to start using my new rowing machine. I have a goal to lose 20- 30 pounds by May.
Edit: I asked for a Fuelband for my birthday, after seeing Kevin wearing one in the Mobile Nations CES video.Last edited by disneynorth; 02-04-2013 at 03:59 PM.

Monday: 40 mins cycling, hour and a half gym session including muscle ups, front and back levers and about 30 mins of work on gymnastic rings, now I'm doing 30 mins of stretches and planche. Been a good day!
P.s. I'm going to a gymnastic club on wednesday, do I get extra points for a video? ^.^ - 02-04-2013, 05:02 PM #15

Fuelband totals for today:
3746 points
1560 calories
11,826 steps
Again, only 2nd day with my fuelband. Need to adjust goals after first week. - 02-04-2013, 08:07 PM #18
Even though I can't win since I'm part of the CB team (although Kevin should reconsider since some of us can't get a BlackBerry 10 device until March and even then only have one option, dayum you Sprint!) I'll share my daily workouts too.
An hr and 15 mins of P90X Plyometrics (I'm typing this as I try not to pass out from that insane workout) followed by 20 mins of P90X Ab Ripper (I've been doing this one for months & am now convinced, I have no abs). - 02-04-2013, 08:09 PM #19
I will be *RUNNING* an errand to get my new z10 tomorrow.

I am kind of serious in doing exercise for good health. I like this topic - health and fitness. I don't aim for any reward, but I would like to share my experience with you. I have been doing yoga since August 2012. I am doing pretty good so far. I do it every day - about 15 min. after getting up in the morning and 45 min. at night before going to bed. I am careful in what I eat; I drink a lot of fluid every day including water, tea, 1 cup of coffee without adding sugar. I have lost about 7 lbs. since August. The bad thing is I have to buy new pants and clothes (from small to extra small). The good thing is I don't feel comfortable if I don't do yoga. I enjoy it! I have to stop now. Yoga time ....

I did 30 minutes bouncing on an exercise ball it's low impact on the knees, followed by 3 reps of crunches and cooled off by doing yoga for the first time ever! for 20 minutes

Day 2 - 20 minutes on the elliptical. Maybe tomorrow I'll make it move. Just kidding.
Used the aerobic setting this time.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
