    Default mobile download limit

It seems that BlackBerry world sets a 50mb limit for downloads on mobile.
I have a 6gb plan, any way to remove the limit?

Ya, so arbitrary too. 51mb is a no go, 49.99? Ya baby.

Aren't movies on bb10 larger than 50mb? We cannot download movies on LTE even if we wanted to? I have not seen sizes of them on bb10 but a 6gb data plan like the OP would/should allow for a few surely. Wonder why they have this limit.

Maybe they do it cause Apple does it? Most in the iOS camp think its carrier driven, but if that were true why does Android get a pass?

In BlackBerry World settings it states that the download limit is 50 mb's. Anything more must be over wifi. I don't know how but I managed to download Angry birds, Jetpack high and Beach buggy blitz each of which are 50 mb's or more over my cellular connection.

Interesting, I could not download beach buggy blitz over mobile, that is what started this thread.

I downloaded a 2.7gb hd movie from bb world with no issues. Had wifi active so that might be why it went through...

In other words your contribution to answering the original question is of no value. Really, the quality of contributor to this forum and their reading comprehension is declining steadily. I kid.

I downloaded beach buggy blitz over cellular network with no problems... angry birds and the two yello games needed wifi for download for me. It would be nice if they could up the limit to 100mb then it could cover almost every game/app out there

This is not set by BlackBerry, it is set by the carrier. This is also not native to BlackBerry, it is the same across the board.

Maybe that's why I could download Angry Birds, I'm on Telus.

I have unlimited data here in Saskatchewan and I know several rural people who don't have other internet than their phones. They just use the hotspot for their computers, these people will never be able to download large apps unless the go to McDonalds or Tim Horton's or somewhere else with public wifi. Seems like a bad setup to me.
