I have a blackberry z10 currently on virgin mobile but I can't seem to send or receive picture messages. It says I have unlimited picture messaging in my plan but I won't send or receive. Btw I have mobile network turned on and data turned off. Any help?

You must turn data on
MMS is actually a data transmission which is triggered by an 'invisible' sms.
Edit: In fact you can leave data off for economy and only turn it on for MMS if you like. You will still get an MMS received notification - then you will need to turn data on in order to download it.

You should be ok as long as you don't Web browse or use other data type functions. I edited my initial response above, yet I would advise you to ring you carrier for clarification.

Sorry I was rushing to do something just then so I couldn't give it my full consideration.
Yeah, you absolutely need data enabled in order to send a picture msg, but I would still call your Carrier to ensure that there are no unwanted issues from leaving it on.
Get an enquiry number off the person you speak to in case you get hit with unforeseen costs though.
