    I have recently changed phones and was curious as to wether anyone out there would be able to instruct me how to remove the os software on my blackberry curve 8520 and install a light linux operating system system on it............. i am presuming this is possible

    Even if it could be done, it wouldn't run very well. The 8520 doesn't really have the specs even for something like puppy or dsl.

    Alarm clock, wifi internet radio(tunein is awesome) , mp3 player. That's what am going to do with my 8520 once I get my BB10 phone.
    Can't come up with anything else.

    Donate it to your local women's shelter. They're always after cast-off cell-phones as they're still capable of dialing emergency numbers. It's an important safety resource for them that's always in short supply.
